I'm using a XP pc.
I'm trying to connect to a MySQL server.
But When I press the test the JDBC class driver button, I always obtain the following message:

The JDBC driver could not be loaded.

I have read several previous threads about such argument and others suggested there, for example
http://rpbouman.blogspot.com/2006/12/mysql-meets-openofficeorg.html
http://software.newsforge.com/software/05/07/12/1544207.shtml
but without luck.
I have already registered the classpath mysql-connector-java-5.0.5-bin.jar in Tools -> Options -> Java
Now I don't know what other to do...
Sad

Hi,

I guess you are using the "connect to existing databse " option an you've selected My SQL in the drop-down list.
have you tried removing the my sql driver class from the classpath and the adding it again?
be sure to kill the soffice.bin process before continuing, or else the class might not be recognized.

cheers
