Hello...

First of all, I'm very newbie to open source software, but also very enthusiastic using really developed software like Open Office..

At this moment I installed v1.1 and I would like if there´s any possibility to save drawings in the vectorgraphics format of Corel Draw (export to: *.CDR).

A whole list of export formats is present, but I just miss that one...
Is there any plugin. add-on, etc.?

Thank you!

B.t.w.: at this moment, on this computer I work, I still have windows installed...sorry..Wink

Probably the best solution at this point is to export as .wmf (windows metafile), which is imported pretty well by CorelDraw.

Probably save to EMF because it will preserve curve information (I think). WMF makes them into lines.

hi guys,

I am new to OO as well. A related question: is EMF the best format also for going the other way, from CorelDraw to OO Draw? Or is there better options?

kind regards,
Jan

yes, i have foung emf the best way. Using copy paste works, then
right-click > break
but i think it linearises the curves. EMF appears to be the only way of getting around this. CorelDraw has an auto-convert to EMF feature in media folders (assuming v8)

maybe export to CMX format (Corel presentation exchange) would be better, as I think it can combine vector and bitmaps.

definitely agree there should be some filter support for CorelDraw.

Try using OLE objects import from coreldraw. There is another thread covering this. I find it works very well for going from corel draw to OOdraw
