File attachment is very efficient way to explain problems that anyone has faced. But it's not allowed in this forum, which makes explaining issues difficult.
I hope administrator of this forum add the function to this board. |

Sorry--not likely to happen, for several reasons.
In the meantime, just use one of the free download services. If you don't know of any, check with Google, or search here for examples of ones that people are using. |

Ubuntu's forums have two big advantages (that I know of):
1) They use commercial forum software that supports file attachments, and
2) They have a functional administrative staff.
Maybe if we had #2, we could have #1 even with the phpBB software, so the real problem is #2.
Having attachment support would be a huge help, but there's just no way currently for us to do it. |

At present, there is no time limit on hosting files at http://www.mediafire.com/ . No registration is required and, evidently, the site is free of "pop-ups". _________________ search forum by month |
