| Is there any way to find all posts made by a user with a two-character username? Clicking the Find all posts by... link returns the message"No topics or posts met your search criteria" if the username is less than three characters long. |

I have resorted to using the member list on occasion. Sort by username, navigate using the links to a page other than one, then edit the 'start' parameter in the URL to get close to the first letter.
Good grief it would be nice to get all those junk users cleared out. |

The problem is that, even when you know the member's name, you cannot find posts made by that member. On your profile page, for example, I can click on "Find all posts by acknak" and get a list of all your posts.
When you click the link in the profile of a member with a name such as that mentioned by BillP, you get "No topics or posts met your search criteria". I suspect you will find the same applies to the names at the beginning of the member list - names which begin with various symbols. It evidently applies at least to names beginning with an asterisk. _________________ search forum by month |

No, you're right--I've never tried it with a short or weird username. Ouch.
So I guess those people can't even view their own posts. I'm surprised phpBB will even let you create accounts with those names. |

Those are probably the fix required - ban the use of such names, change the names of those already registered and require activation of the accounts. phpbb, it seems to me, is a bit like OOo. It started with hoopla and went steadily backwards thereafter. _________________ search forum by month |
