Scaling charts

i'm not even sure if the term scaling is correct.
what i'm trying to do is create a line chart of a stock price over time like the ones you see on websites and newspapers. ie. the vertical range of the chart has a maximum of the lowest value thae stock has had, not zero. this allows the fluctuations of the stock price to cover the whole chart, not just the top.
i've tried double clicking the chart to bring up - format axis scaling - as the program help says, but no matter how i click, that never comes up. i'm not sure if that will give me the option of changing the minimal value of the chart.

I think I understand what you want. Create chart, select and right click, select edit and then from the menu bar Format > x-axis > Scale
