|
|
Issue concerns OpenOffice 2.2 Writer.
Save button not available - why I don't know. Writer somehow disabled 'Save' function.
Also not available in using drop down menu File>Save
Only [Save as] is available. Didn't install any additions - only closed Writer , reopened Writer and Save functionality was gone.
Thanks

Hi Msjk,
The Save button and Menu option are only available when the document has been modified, otherwise they are greyed out - this is a quick way to see whether you have recently saved your document.
Could this be what you are seeing?
If not, could you post your OS so that someone with a similar setup may be able to test.

Msjk,
This means that your document is still open by OOo. In fact, when you close writer, the quickstarter is still running and may hold on files. Simply close quickstarter, and start Writer again, this should fix your issue. _________________ Help us to help you: Add [Solved] to the title of the thread if you agree with the answer
