Hi, i'm trying to fix a problem on my Curriculum Vitae (Resume). It's a standard model that i just filled. But at page number 3 there is a big empty area between 2 tables that i'm not able to delete. I attach my file, i would be glad if someone is able to help me. Thank you very much

phidias,

When I downloaded the file, I got kind of garbage: half the start page of AlterVista web site, half of other html code. Could you repost it at http://www.mediafire.com (free, no registration required)?

I had trouble with it too, and agree with the mediafire recommendation.

It looks fine to me, using MS Office 2003 and OOo 2.2.1RC3 on Windows XPsp2.
My only remark is that the vertical line between captions and content shows only on odd pages (pp. 1 and 3), and when viewing in Word, it is misplaced. Do remove it if you want to distribute your CV as a doc file (but you are going to use pdf, right?).

I had trouble too, initially. It seems that the site gives some faulty headers (though I haven't inspected that area...).
I copied the link into the address field of my web browser (MSIE6) and got what I needed.

The document I see under WinXP Pro SP2, looks fine in both Portable 2.1 and release 2.2.1. . The only gap I see on page 3 is next to a heading on the left that has no corresponding detail on the right. The text begins with, appropriately, the next subheading. I don't see a huge gap where you might need to remove spacing.

(NB: The word throughout should be "Competencies". You might want to fix that. Wink )

[EDIT] Maybe the question is how to reduce the space between Other Languages on the left and English on the right. In that case, it's just a matter of making sure Writer is displaying nonprinting characters (View menu) and deleting the empty paragraph mark between the Other Languages cell and the blank cell below it. (If you're not able to see the table cell boundaries, which might be helpful for you to see, go to Tools>Options>OpenOffice.org>Appearance, and make sure Table Boundaries is selected.)

OK, works for me also.

I see it also. There is something happening during the import I guess : place your cursor in the table 18 (top of page 4), edit its properties and go to the Text Flow tab, uncheck the Break that has been set (during the import).

Thanks to add '[Solved]' in your first post title (edit button) if your issue has been fixed.

Interesting. It's not showing up as a break in my display (or printout) but the break option is definitely set. (I find it irksome that the Navigator won't highlight the current table when I click in one; the Navigator is such a great tool in every other respect... perhaps it will be fixed in 2.3 with other table issues...)

Neither does it on my system. But I had already seen that before, I was pretty sure where I had to look at Wink
