I have two .csv files. They are essentially identical product lists. One has price updates; the other has a 'long descriptions' field, which is lacking in the first.
I want to merge the long descriptions into the updates file. I can't be sure that each file contains the same amount of records.
Can you suggest the most suitable method to go about this?
Should I import the two .csv files as tables into Base, then construct a query to copy the 'long description' field into the first table?
This process will need to be replicated in the future: price updates arrive in a spreadsheet which is unfortunately without the long description field, which will need to be added in each time.
