Hi,
I'm attempting to migrate a .csv file into OO Base so I can perform a large merge of data.
I open the .csv file in Calc, copy the cells into clipboard, create a new db in Base (without registering in OO), select the Tables tab on the left, right-click on the Table region at bottom and choose paste.
I receive the error:
| Quote: | OpenOffice.org Base
Warning!
No insert privileges
Continue anyway? |
The file has Windows (XP) write permissions. How do I grant myself insert privileges? |

I don't recognise that error, and what you're doing looks fine... but just on the off chance there's some little detail to tweak, have a look at....

... which covers what you're trying to do.
Are you sure you have a Java engine set up, the right Java set up, and ooBase pointed towards it? Details on that at....

Thanks for your reply MSPhobe.
Your first page is where I actually learned the method I used.
Both
Sun Microsystems Inc. version 1.5.0_11 and
Sun Microsystems Inc. version 1.6.0_11
are available for selection.
Sun Microsystems Inc. version 1.5.0_11 is selected.
I'll have more of a tweak tomorrow. Thanks. |
