Hello all, I'm a big fan of OpenOffice and have been using the en_GB localization for some time now. I've just installed PortableApps on one of my USB thumb-drives and am enjoying having a portable version of OpenOffice (my college doesn't support open-source). Problem is, and it's only a minor one, although OpenOfficePortable does have the en_GB dictionaries installed (which is good) the interface is, of course, en_US and I cannot find a British English localization of OpenOfficePortable anywhere. Does anyone know where or when one might be available? Failing that, anyone know how I might localize the interface myself? _________________ Always remember, there are only 10 kinds of people in the world - those that understand binary...and those that don't. |

Thanks, I'm using the en_GB OpenOffice 2.0.2 and haven't had any problems yet. Is it the en_GB OpenOffice or OpenOfficePortable which is broken? I visited the link but they don't mention OpenOfficePortable anywhere that I could see. _________________ Always remember, there are only 10 kinds of people in the world - those that understand binary...and those that don't. |

Version 2.0.2 is the last working en_GB version and the one I use. Wouldn't portableapps recompile or somehow adapt the official build rather than building the software from scratch? Portableapps, IIRC, has a forum. _________________ search forum by month |
