This is the first time I have ever set up my own database. It works fine for me, for what I need to do (create contact files).
However, when more than one person tries to access it from our server, they can not write to it. All options to do so are unavailable. Reading the database is not, apparently, a problem, though.
How can I make sure everyone I want to use this can have permission to do so?
Thank you very much for any help, _________________ Eric Bono |

do you have a Base native database (your database is in base itself) or are you connecting base to a database server/RDBMS?
currently, base native databases do not support multi-users. You can have MySQL or PostgreSQL, etc on the back end, and connect to it view ODBC with Base for your front-end. |

Thanks. I don't actually know what all that means but it sounds like you're in the ballpark. We have a very simple, very small system and I am sure what you are mentioning is probably true. I will have to ask the I.T. guy about this. _________________ Eric Bono |
