Hello *,
I'm using OO 2.2.1.
I cannot open a few documents, some *.odc, some *.ods and a *.xlsfiles. OO tries to repair the files if I open trie to open them. The result of the repair is an empty document. All documents have one thing common they were deleted afterwards recoverd by a undelete tool.
I tried to copy them and rename to *.zip, but the result is a not extactable zip file.
Thanks for help |

Ouch, this does not sound good.
First though : What OS and version of OOo are you using?
Were the OOo documents originally created in OOo?
What version of MS for the xls
Were all the files created on your machine?
What happens if you make a copy of one of the original files and unzip it? _________________ jrkrideau

That is seldom a certainty unless done soon after the deletion, and even then it can be doubtful. Sorry, but you likely have corrupted files. there is always the possibility of recovery, but that's perhaps not without so much effort it's not worth it. Bite the bullet, and redo from scratch.
