Configuring Eclipse plugin returns: "unable to load cla

After install of the plugin, when I open Preferences > OpenOffice.org Plugin, I get the following error:

Unable to create the selected preference page.
Reason: plugin org.openoffice.ide.eclipse.core was unable to load class org.openoffice.ide.eclipse.preferences.MainPage

Expanding the twistie in preferences to display SDK Configuration and UNO-IDL Editor returns similar message, with a different class.

The installation of the plugin using Software Updates > Find & Install completed successfully. Result was two new directories in features and two new .jar files in plugins. Have checked to assure Eclipse and OO are referencing the same JRE. OO is 2.2.1 downloaded from OOo and installed via RPMs. Eclipse is 3.2.2. Running on OpenSuse 10.2.

Any help would be appreciated.
