Forum registration interface can be improved.
After registration, there must be a message that I have to activate my account by clicking on a link in the email. If it was there, I have missed it, which means that it was in fine print. It needs to be more prominent. I tried to login after registration, but got the message that "account is inactive, please, contact the forum administrator" and no clue how to do it. The message did not mention anything about activating the account from the email. Of course, sending a message to the forum admin requires login
Is that an intelligence test to keep dumb people from registering? |

[Moved to Site Feedback forum]
Good suggestion.
No, it's not a test, it's a side effect of this forum having no active administrator, so we can't change things on that level.
Stay tuned, as new options are about to unfold. |

Probably superfluous, but here's what you missed:
Do you remember that screen? I agree, unless you read the text carefully all the way through, you could easily miss the part about the email. |

Yes, this is the one I have missed. The rest of my comment is still valid. If I cannot login, because account is inactive, the message should mention the email rather than ask me to send a message to the admin.
Thanks for your replies. I wish to avoid using M$ office, but little things like this make me use it once in a while.
Regards. |

Unfortunately, you can not email an admin, very sad.
At least here, you can get help with OOo, however. _________________ --
