Installed OO 2.3. under Windows XP. Downloaded and tried to install Sun Report Builder 1.0.1. (Download labeled 1.0.0). Message :"could not create java implementation loader."
Suggestions?

Do you have Java installed and activated in OOo? If so, which version?

What worked for me:
1. Open OO Writer
2. Open Tools/Options/OpenOffice.org/Java
3. Wait 5-10 seconds until the table (Vendor/Version/Features) is filled with at least one position (which should be "Sun Microsystems Inc." and "1.6.0_02")
4. Make sure this position is chosen (filled dot)
5. Make sure option "use a Java runtime environment" is checked
6. Then, get to Tools/Extension magager
7. Open "My Extensions"
8. Choose every non-working extension and Press button "Disable"
9. Then, choose it again and press button "Enable"
Then, this extension will be tested again - and for me, this time it passed successfully. |

I followed your directions and I had also to allow access through my (Online Armor) firewall (on Windows XP SP2).
This should be a sticky somewhere.
