Hello All,
I have just started using openoffice after years of m!cr0$*fT orifice and I shall certainly be stickin with openoffice.
Now my problem ... I have designed an invoice heading in photoshop that i saved as a png with transparent background. It is basically my name and address phone numbers services etc set out correctly, done in a smart font with some effects added.
I made a new text document and added a background from the gallery then inserted my picture/png and all was looking good.
I now want to add an image i made myself behind a table where i edit my dates services prices etc. I have inserted a table in outline form but cannot get my image behind it even when saved in gallery.
So i spose im asking what format do i need to save any clip art i make myself ? I did read that png was fine but could it be because i'm trying to insert it behind a table on top of the existing background ?
I am also interested in making my own backgrounds and would like to know what format they should be saved in ?
Sorry if this is answered elsewhere or in the wrong section but any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Ch@os |

Save it in nearly any format which serves you best. If created in OpenOffice Draw you could use that. I use png myself.

| You can insert a table in either a Section or a Frame and give the Section or Frame a background. |
