What specific problems are you having? Is the page orientation not coming out right? Or some other problem? I'm not familiar with that particular model of printer; does it do double-sided automatically?

The model printer supports double sided printing.

I am trying to print a brochure that was made in open office draw. It does NOT AT ALL print double sided.

That is my problem

I'm not an expert on double-sided printing, but in my limited experience it's usually a printer setting rather than something in the software that makes the difference whether it works or not. I assume (though you haven't said) that this printer does double-sided ok when printing from other programs. If you have checked the printer options/setup from within OOo, and the setup is correct, then I don't quite know what to suggest next. I hope someone else reads this who knows more than I do.

Try making a PDF from the OOo file, then print the PDF. Does that work?

I tried printing a PDF and nothing happens, yet I have not had a chance to completely test it in a PDF format

Does printing work at all? It sounds like your system-level printing configuration is broken.

You can try testing it like this:
Quote:
$ lpstat -a
printer accepting requests since Tue 05 Jun 2007 09:48:19 AM EDT
$ echo -e "one\n\ftwo\n" | lp -o sides=two-sided-long-edge
request id is printer-186 (1 file(s))

I think that should work to give you a two-sided printout. My printer does not have duplex printing so it just prints two pages for me.
