open office extension in java

these are what i want to do:
when i click my addon button either from the menu bar or the toolbar, a dialog or editor will appear.
is that possible?

another one:
when i close the dialog or editor, all its contents will be transferred to the text document.

lastly:
the objects from the dialog or editor are math symbols


note: i'm writing an addon in java
