I've tried to find/replace Manual Line Breaks with the " \n " that the help file maintains will work. All that I ever get for a return is "Search Key Not Found" (and yes, I am checking the box for "Regular Expressions")...
At first I thought it was because I was importing information from some reference software I own, but now I realize that even when I insert a hard-return (manual line break) it still doesn't recognize the break... What I am wanting to do is simply replace my manual line breaks (hard returns) with paragraphs...
This worked in StarOffice 5.0 and I am using OpenOffice 1.0.2 (but never tried with 1.0.1 to see if it worked with that release)... Any pointers would greatly help as this is the only aspect of OpenOffice that is holding me back from taking my XP Word of my home computer and embracing OpenOffice whole-heartedly...

Enable regular expressions and search for $
It should work in 1.0.2 but if not, upgrade to 1.1beta, a very stable beta so do not worry. |
