Hi Eric,
The leopard build is working fine for me here. Got a lot of dialog boxes saying "couldn't contact spell checker", but after disable spell-check-as-you-type the annoyance was gone.
Merci et bon courage!

Thanks for the feedback, and thanks for reporting the issue.
Unfortunaly, nobody in the Team has a final version of Leopard, and you'll have to wait a bit before to see the issue fixed.
I'll create an issue and I'll put Michael Sicotte who wrote the SpellChecker code on CC.
Once we will have enough ressources, we should fix it quickly.
Thanks again for your feedback !! _________________ --

I am using the recently posted aqua leopard version on a Macbook with 10.5.
Works well so far and looks very nice indeed. Thanks very much.
The preview icons when viewed in coverflow appear to have a transparrent background which looks rather cool but makes them difficult to see. Quicklook just shows a zoomed version of the icon.
Unable to install any plugins at present. |

Thanks for your feedback
Yes, you are right: I experimented the same issue with QuickLoock, While Shaun McDonald told me it works perfectly.
I'll have a look soon, to see what happens ( with a new build ) _________________ --

|
|
Hi,
Installed Leopard yesterday and the OpenOffice Aqua installation I already had went bazerk: icons were upside down and had purple backgrounds (really, I'm not on drugs...)
Downloaded this build and looks good, even works OK, except for the FileOpen button: results in an empty popup. FileOpen through the menu does work however!
cheers,

Thanks for your feedback
The issue with the FilePicker is well known, and we are searching.
Workaround: open a second time the file, and everything should work. Could be a non initialized variable or a timer issue, or ...don't know more yet :-/
For the icons, I'm surprised: I never had such issue yet.
Could you please try to change the iconset ?
To do that : hit Apple key + " , " and go in OpenOffice.org -> View then choose large iconset + Crystal or Tango, and let us know what happens. ( I know, the default iconset is uggly)
If this does not solve your icon issue, an you try to rename your prefs ( rename
~/Library/Application Support/OpenOffice.org-aqua ), and relaunch OpenOffice.org ?
Thanks

| Well browsing the download site, I found an Oct 26th build and I installed it. So far everything looks good. Install went without a hitch, I've opened and printed a couple of documents with no issues , at least nothing staring me in the face anyway. |

OpenOffice.org 2.3.0 (30-06-07)
While I'm not using the super new build, I am using the native 2.3 version of OO.org on my Mac and I am seeing the same problem. This did not happen pre-Leopard.
My icons are all upside down (pretty-much everywhere - toolbars, menus, etc)
The backgrounds are purple too.
I tried the prev suggestion of trying the different icon sets and all sets are upside down.
I switched to tango and the purple backgrounds are gone, but still upside down. (some icons now have black backgrounds - example: the "Do you want to save..." when you try to exit after modifying a doc.
I don't have an OpenOffice.org folder in my /Library/Application Support folder so can't delete the prefs file from there sorry.
If you want to contact me I'm happy to try stuff out.
Doug
Update: The disables/grayed-out versions of icons ARE the right way up! |

Hey, what;s that Nov 17th build about? And if I install it, should I remove 2.3 first?

| Regarding the Oct26th PPC build... It's been sometime now and still waiting. There is no EN version on the ftp server. Spoted some bugs on the Oct1st build, but would like to check them out with the newest build prior to reporting... |

| What's more, the latest dev. version I was able to download (the Oct 1st build) seems to have some problems starting up under OS X 10.4.11... |
