|
|
Hello. I have searched the other threads for a while but could not find an answer to this. I am a home user of openoffice and I am creating a spreadsheet for a home budget. I would like to make the top row with my headers static when I scroll down so that I know what column I am entering info into. Can anyone please explain how to do this?
I hope I was clear enough. Thank you in advance for any help. |

Freeze is the search term you need to use under Calc help.
Just select the row below the headings you want to freeze.
Then select Window; Freeze and your are done!
If you need to freeze both row and column headings then select the cell just below and to the right of the desired frozen headings and then do Window; freeze.
Does this hely? |

Click once in the first cell that you wish to be able to move. i.e. the rows above it, and the columns to the left, are the ones you want to lock in place whilst scrolling. So if you just want the top row to stick then click on cell A2.
Then choose the menu option Window > Freeze |

Format - Print ranges - Edit... will let you do what you're asking. |
