Hi all,

I am using OpenOffice writer for creating the files of type DocBook.xml. I am facing some issues. When I try to save my file as ".odt" format, its OK, but when i try to save it as "DocBook.xml" type, it shows message that the formatting might not get saved correctly in this type(i.e. DocBook.xml) and finally when I create the HTML page using DocBook, the generated HTML page really doesn't show proper formatting which includes even minor formatting like e.g. Center alignment of document title.

Please help me in this regard. Sad

hi,

if you look at the docbook xsl-stylesheets (export/import) you see that the docbook-support only working partially.

so basically you can say docbook is not really supported to the extend what you expect as a result (tables, metatinformation, alignment, etc.).

So you would have to compare a document in format ".odt" to ".xml" in docbook and then you can see what is missing and change the xsl-stylesheet.

If you don't know how to program xsl-styleheets ther is no solution (as far as I know). Thats because the docbook-support is currently not being improved.

regards,
st.
