I previously used OpenOffice 2.02. When I tried to install 2.30 I received the error
'Returns: Error 139 during installation'. This doesn't even return a hit on Google. Some
RPMs installed, some didn't. If I run rpm on all the modules with the same arguments
setup uses *except* the one that directs it to install in a specific directory (unnecessary
because I installed into the default directory) it installs and I can use it. With that
argument I get a segmentation violation. |

Did you find a fix for this one? I've slackware 2.4.x w/all the posted necessities, and am having the same problem with oo ver.s 2.3.0 & 2.3.1, currently using 2.0 which installs well.
Thanks, g |

You misunderstood my message. I explained how I got it to install. I wanted to point
out that using the default caused a segmentation violation in case somebody cared,
and how anyone else who had the same result could try to circumvent the
problem. |

Cripes, thanks for the correction -- maybe I had too many windows open and missed the rest of your message; I like that explanation better than the alternative anyway.
Appreciate your help, Greg |
