Auto "Bullets and Numbering" Toolbar [solved]

Greetings!

Every time the cursor is placed on an outline / list, the "Bullets and Numbering" toolbar automatically appears out of nowhere. It is nice to be able to do something like this, but I personally do not like it very much and find it a little annoying. I can't seem to find anywhere in the options to turn this functionality off. If you can help, it would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I know what you mean. What I did was to embed the bar in the main frame (where all the other icons are) this way you're not nearly so aware of them when they appear, and they're there if you need them!

The toolbars are context-sensitive. That functionality cannot be turned off. You can either turn off the individual toolbars when they appear (using View > toolbars) or dock the toolbars so they don't float over the text. If you turn off the toolbars, they won't reappear until turned back on. If you dock the toolbars, this can cause the page to shift when the toolbar appears/disappears. To stop the page-shifting, I have docked an empty toolbar below the Standard and Formatting toolbars and dock the context-sensitive toolbars next to the empty toolbar.

The document jumps up and down to make room for the docked toolbar as I cursor through a table, outline, etc., because I docked the toolbar.

Aha! Very nice! I assumed that "they won't reappear until turned back on" meant that it would just turn on the next time your cursor hits an outline / list.
