|
|
I paid for Open Office a year ago and down loaded it but didn't purchase the disk, now my computer crashed and I had to have a new hard drive installed installed and don't have Open Office anymore.
Where can I get the version I had. I only see free ones that come in many parts that must be all downloaded seperately. Will I have to pay another $40 to get back what I already bought once?
I have searched for over an hour on the site and can't find any info.
Thanks. |

Also, this isn't the OpenOffice.org site (they're the guys who make teh software) this is the openoffice forums - slightly different.
The main site for the software is here:

You probably paid for an office suite which included OpenOffice.org as one component. There is no paid version of OpenOffice.org. You need to go back to wherever you originally purchased "Open Office". |

It's not ideal to link to a specific download on a specific mirror. It's better to point people to http://download.openoffice.org where they can get the latest version, choose a language, and let the "bouncer" choose a mirror.
Besides, 2.3.0 is old and has a nasty formatting bug. _________________ <signature>

downloading that link seems to have given me what I had before, I think I must have got taken by someone "selling" versions for $40.00.
Thanks for reply. |

Wallaroo,
It is possible you were "taken." On the other hand, I've heard these sellers add some kind of value such as physical media or support. _________________ <signature>
