Hi,

i'm using OO 2.3 un a Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy,
my machine is a toshiba satellite quite old with a intel celeron processor and 512mb RAM.

i was using openoffice to write a tiny book of formulas which i need for my exams at college.

every time i try to open the document i saved in .odt format, it always crashes and starts to recover again.
the document is quite heavy i think, it's 6 pages of formulas built with the math editor.... but yesterday it worked!

please help!

thanks a lot everyone

OOo used to have a quick launch facility (maybe it still does). By disabling this facility, I and many other forum users eliminated crashes.

If that doesn't work, try the old "divide and conquer" method. Split your document into two files, and see if OOo crashes when either is loaded.

If only one file crashes, then the problem is in that file. So split it again. And so on.
