I have installed OO2.3 from downloaded debs (onto an Asus eee pc). There problem I am having is as follows:
Looking at OO2.3 running on another computer (a "real" pc under kubuntu), when typing file open the window that opens shows a list of folder icons down the left hand side, but performing the same operation in the OO2.3 running on the eee pc does not. Here are some screen shots:
OO2.3 running under kubuntu
OO2.3 running under eee pc
I wonder if it possible to configure OO2.3 running on the eee pc to show the folder icons?

| I would guess that the settings under Tools/Options/OpenOffice.org/General/ OpenSave Dialogs are different on both computers. Uncheck the 'use OO dialog' box to see the system dialog. |

Thank you for the reply.
On the asus eee pc computer the "open/save dialogs" option is not available (ie it is simply not shown at all under Tools/Options/OpenOffice.org/General.
I would be grateful for some other ideas/suggestions about this issue.

Are the versions of OpenOffice the same version? Or packaged by the same people? Installed the same way? _________________ "I am no physician, but there appears to be a dagger through my chest..." ~ LFG Comic |
