|

| I am using Calc for the first time. I can't find a way to show the ruler so I can tell when my columns are off the page. Can anyone help this nerbie find how to show the ruler on the left and top in inches preferably? thanks! |

No rulers in Calc, AFAIK.
Page division shows as a slightly bolder row/column border after the first print or preview. The divider will update dynamically if you adjust row/column widths, page format, or print zoom factor. |

I must be asking a decent question in a stupid way. I can see by your photo what it has done to you? I just want simple rulers, not divisions or such but on the left side of my work and the top so I can tell when my spreadsheet I'm creating is wider than 8.5" and longer than 11". Thus, to prevent in printing; one page being printed on two sheets. Is that better ... anyone .... someone? thanks! |

See "column width" in the help index and Menu:View>Page Break Preview _________________ Rest in peace, oooforum.org

In Page Break Preview [Top menu], mentioned by Villeroy, you can control the columns per page by dragging the blue delimiting lines.
