Startup Settings?

Hi everyone, I've got a great thing going with open office presentations, but it's very annoying
to continually have to:

1) Close the slide & task panes every time I start/open a new document,

2) Reset the view to 100% from the default 37% every time I start/open a new
document or even go back into the "Normal" section, e.g. after leaving the
"slide sorter" section.

Is there a way to permanently adjust these things?
