This post/question is similiar to the one that VioletDawn posted but I figured creating a new topic better than resurrecting a dead one (mods correct me if I am wrong).
Anyways my question is, how do I create a true BLANK document in Impress - one with no sort of placeholders in the master slide?
What I have done so far is to simply create a new doc in impress and when the wizard pops up I leave the default "Empty Presentation" radio box selected and click the create button.
Impress then creates my presentation with two default placeholders (title and body) which I remove by choosing the "Blank Slide" layout and applying (selecting the placeholders and deleting worked too).
Arrive at problem when I go to edit the Master Slide which can be accessed from this menu option:
View -> Master -> Slide Master
Note that the Master Slide comes with 5 place holders: Title, Body, Date, Footer, and Page Number.
The last three can (only?) be removed via the check boxes found in the menu (selecting the placeholders and hitting the delete key will get an error):
View -> Master -> Master Elements
Problem is the last two placeholders. You can't simply select them and delete them either - I tried and got the error: "This function cannot be run with the selected objects."
Anyone know if it is possible to remove those two placeholders and how it is done?
Thanks! |
