Extract information from MS/Word document

I read dev manual on UNO but i didn't find a solution,my question is,there is a possibility to extract information from Ms/word document with uno and java about formatting,number and type of graphical object,outline,character and somethings like this?

Focus of dev manual is create a new document,my focus is extract information from an existing document

When a doc document is loaded you can do everything you want as an other document : findind paragraphs, using cursors ....
