Re-posting this to try to get a few more views,
I am using calc with a simple bookeeping template. Out of the blue a red frame has appered on my worksheet which surrounds 1 or more cells, moved=s with the curor keys, limiting movement with cursosrs but not mouse and preventing me entering dat in neighboouring cells.
What is this?!!! It's pissing me right off. it may have come from inaccurate keyboard use i guess but i just want rid of it so i can continue working on my bookeeping and get it finished
thanks, jimmer |

Sounds like you're dealing with PROTECTED CELLS that won't allow you to alter them (i.e., "critical" formulae).
You can try turning the cell protection function OFF. Before you do this, MAKE A COPY OF THE SHEET and only work on the COPY, not the original. However, be aware that turning off cell protection could "honk up" the sheet - that's why you need to try these things on COPIES.
Good luck, etc. _________________ I'm making perfect sense - you're just not keeping up! |
