|
|
I am looking at a budget spreadsheet which has a "summary" view and detailed sheets for each department. The summary view refers to the other sheets to build its sums, e.g., the total "contractor services" budget in the summary view would be the sum of the contractor services in each department, like so:
=Tech.J25+Admin.J25+Legal.J25+Communications.J25.
I'd like to quickly navigate from the summary view to the actual values that make up a given sum, and back, i.e. the cells referenced above. So, if I see 400K in contractor services, I want to see that the tech dept. is spending 200K, that legal is spending 100K, etc.
In other words, I want to navigate to the "inputs" of a cell and back, even if they are on a different sheet - alternatively, I need some kind of value breakdown view of the cell, or of the formula that's used to feed it.
I'm sure there's a simple way to do this - would appreciate a pointer. Right now I'm manually navigating back and forth between a dozen sheets which is a bit of a pain!
Thanks for any help. |

Possibly not "simple", but this might prove useful.
From the formula, copy the address you want, such as Tech.J25.
Top left, above the A heading for the first column, you'll see a window. Paste this into that window, and you'll jump to that address.
