I would like to be able to e-mail an open office Document thru gmail,
but it does not find the configuration  |

This is not up to OpenOffice.org. It's an issue regarding GMail's integration into your operating system, and you didn't mention which operating system you use. I will assume you use Windows. There are some tools on this page which claim to integrate GMail, so they may help: http://www.gmailusers.com/tools-mailto.htm
