I use the Aqua beta on Mac OS X.
I am often sent .doc and .ppt files containing formula's embedded in them via email. If I open it directly from email, it usually has no problems.
However, if I save them to disk, the formula's become broken... it appears as though the font in them changes to Wingdings or something equally ludicrous. If I attempt to edit the formula, it opens the formula in Math itself, rather than the usual box on the bottom of Writer. However, in Math, the formula looks correct. The Format -> Font option is greyed out.
I have tried saving the file as .odt, but both problems persist - the incorrect font, and editing the formula is not allowed.
Is this some sort of bug with the Aqua release, or is there something else going on?
Thanks for any help,
