When ever I try to use a feature that uses Java, say the XSLT filter or JDBC, openoffice will crash (and followed by that crash reporter). I first used 1.1 stable, and used JRE 1.4.2_04. This happens on both windows98 machines I have. I later used older JRE's 1.4.1_01 and 1.4.0. I configured OOo each time using the jvmsetup.exe. I then uninstalled 1.1 and installed 1.1.1RC, I'm still getting the same result. Has anybody got Java working with
OOo on Windows 98? Is there a way I can test if the Java integration working?
Thanks. |

Well, I tried it on another guy's computer running Windows XP Professional and it works,
so I guess the problems with windows 98. Has anyone got Java components such as
JDBC or XSLT working on OOo 1.1 under Win98? |

Is the CPU strong enough in the machine with 98?
I have Win 98 on two machines, one with 700 MHz and one with 2GHz and the first one always crahes whenever it encounters Java anywhere (not just OOo) the latter one always runs happily. |
