Documentation and help

Hi people, I´m new in here and with OpenOffice.
I would like to know where can I find some good documentation with examples.
Like, I need to know how many and what are the objects used in Calc, and it´s methods, functions and properties...
I´m migrating some macros from excel and this begining is getting too hard...

If you are porting from VBA macros , the logic flow should be close in Starbasic. The programmers tutorial is the best start :

Very thanx. I've read the OpenOffice Tutorial (in PDF) and some examples just denies to run. even the examples from the Help of OpenOffice aometimes don't run..
