I just ran into a limitation in Calc that's driving me crazy... I want two different tabs in one spreadsheet to have Auto-Filter. I select all the data on one tab, and select Data >> Filter >> Auto-Filter, and the Auto-Filter applies fine, and works fine.
BUT... when I go to the second tab and do the same thing, the Auto-Filter on the first tab disappears! If I go back to the first tab and apply the Auto-Filter, the Auto-Filter in the second tab disappears!
How do I get Auto-Filter to remain in both tabs? |

OK, I figured out how to make more than one Auto-Filter work for a spreadsheet.
Apparently, by default, only one Auto-Filter can be used per spreadsheet... but, if you install the autOOoFiltre extension: http://extensions.services.openoffice.org/project/autOOoFiltre
you'll have a little toolbar that lets you use more than one Auto-Filter. |
