| I just installed the 3.0 update last week and since then, I can't print to any printer -- not even to a virtual printer (primo pdf). I only get the message "could not start printer. Please check your printer configuration" The printers work with any other program. They are not on a network. My OS is Vista. Any ideas? |

My OO 3.0 printing had been working fine until yesterday, Now it will not print spreadsheets or doc files. I downloaded the new version 3.0.1 today & installed it. This did not fix the printing.
I did read on another forum where they said export files to a pdf file & print those. This did work.
Maybe someone else or Sun can resolve our problem. |

| I originally wrote about this problem but it's fixed now. Turns out I don't believe it was OO 3 causing it as I rolled back the computer to a week earlier and it works fine. About the same time I installed 00 3, I had received two Vista updates via Win Updates. I believe these updates were causing the problem. |

Just today, I now can't print.
I get a message that says, "no default printer found', but it is ther.
When going to Printer sSet Up, the printer is listed - but then when the select printer window opens but the 'OK' button is greyed out.
Everywhere I check, the printer is shown.
So what is going on?

My problem turned out to be the 8 year old printer. It would print email and pdf files, but not MS word, excel, notepad or word pad files?????
I bought a new printer and all works fine. |

OK, I guess I won't buy MS Office!
Not sure which did it, it was either re-booting or the MS updates installed. |
