| While converting documents to pdf, embedded checkboxes do not appear in the pdf file. Am I missing something in the settings which should allow me to print such embedded boxes. |

I don't think so, you should file an issue at www.openoffice.org and describe you problem, perhaps upload a sample document and the PDF file too.
PDF export is in its early stages, any feedback they can get is great! |
