Hi. I'm using OOo V2.41 on winXP.
Everytime I have two merged cells (equal number of spanned cells) and trying to use the format paintbrush I get the following errormsg:
And the format doesn't copy.
I can see nobody have posting a similar problem on the forum before - so that make me think this may be some option that is wrong.
The installation of OOo isn't new. Same setting since ver 2.31 (and installed OOo just over again without uninstall old versions) so it might be that. Anyone with same problem? If no, i guess delete all settings would help.... _________________ Windows XP sp2 |

Are you trying to copy merged cells into OTHER merged cells? if you are, then that's the reason for the error message.
When you want to copy a "merged cell" field to another place in calc, the "target" MUST be a SINGLE, UNMERGED calc cell. Then, and only then, will your "merged cell" field successfully copy, along with all the formatting attributes of the "merged cell" field.
Does this make any sense or otherwise help? _________________ I'm making perfect sense - you're just not keeping up! |

Then I say:
Being able to copy contents between merged cells is a "missing feature".
ontopic (with that in mind):
That makes the workaround pretty easy: Just unmerge the merged cells that is target for the contents/format that is to be copied. _________________ Windows XP sp2 |
