Auto creation of documents on server. Is OO right tool?

Hi all,

I need to be able to automatically create PDF's based on a number of parameters defined in a XML document. The XML document is the result of an online questionnaire, and the resulting document needs to contain graphics (simple bars) based on percentage numbers that appear in the XML document, as well as text and graphics elements which are dependent on the contents of the XML document as well (i.e. certain parts of the document will need to be hidden depending on variables in the XML document).

Is OO Writer the right tool for that? Can writer run in the background, started from a script, have macros that create the bar charts and disable/remove unneeded textblocks and create a PDF from the resulting document?

OOo is the perfect tool for that - there is no doubt about it.

How about trying our product based on OpenOffice.org?
It runs on Windows and Linux as well.
