I'm using version 2.4.1 and have noticed a problem when running in Slide Show mode, whether full screen or windowed. I have edited a master slide containing the text box to have a color fill and 70% transparency. In full screen mode the transparency option is ignored, as if it is 100% transparent.
NOTE: My uni server doesn't permit linking images. You have to copy and paste the URL into the browser to view them.

My hack solution, which I found by accident, was to add a filled rectangle somewhere in the master slide as follows:

This is the slide being correctly displayed:

If I make the rectangle invisible it will display incorrectly. I have not experimented with this further as I have more or less solved my problem.
