I have a document that contains both portrait and landscape pages. I have set up custom headers and footers on the landscape pages, so that the page numbers appear in the same place as the portrait pages. When I print from openoffice, everything works perfectly.
However, when I export to PDF then print, the orientation of the landscape pages gets turned 180 degrees, so that the page numbers are now at the bottom of the page, and upside down. This creates a problem, since I would like to print double sided, and all of my landscape pages get turned around, meaning that when they are fed into the printer to print the even pages, everything gets messed up. I have tried printing from both Acrobat Reader and Evince, with the same result.
As a workaround, I can print the document to postscript, then convert to PDF, and the page orientations remain intact. However, this method does not export the bookmarks, which are a nice feature to have in the final PDF. Does anyone know why the PDF export is changing the 'up' side of my landscape pages? And does anyone know if i can change the direction that it exports landscape pages? |
