Opening a PPS File with Open Office Org

Hi everyone. I have used Open Office Org for some considerable time, yesterday I upgraded to the latest version 2.4.1 and now I find that it will not open any emails sent to me with MS Powerpoint.
It used to work well, but now it tells me "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association with in The Set Associations Panel"
I have tried that, and pps is associated with Open Office Org 2.4. I have changed it a cou[ple of times with out making any difference. If I save the attachment and then click open it is OK.
I have Windows Vista Home Premium.
If anyone can help, I would be very grateful and appreciative.
