|
|
I'm running Vista Home Premium SP1 w/ UAC
I can create a new file or save a file as a new name, but no matter what I open, everything is read only. I also cannot save over an existing filename.
I've checked permissions and such, run OOo as Administrator, No dice
The first time I open a file, it LOOKS like it's writable, (doesn't say [read-only] in the title), but save is disabled. After that, it always says [read-only] in the title bar
I have this problem with (at least) *.odt, *.doc, *.ods, *.xls
Any ideas?

Nevermind... I figured it out... for some reason, OOo wasn't deleting the .~lock.* files so I guess thought all the files were in use. I found them and deleted them all... now everything works and OOo is deleting the files on document/program close

Hi,
In your identity (menu Tools > Options > OpenOffice.org > User data) you have non-alphabetic characters in First name or Last name field. Use only a-z without national characters or other characters.
This is Issue 94115 which will be corrected in 3.0.1. |
