2)How can I put a title (documents title) in every page eg on top?
3)Is it possible to convert to capitals or small letters a highlighted text? (as I can bold it)
4)How can I set the page format (esp the margins) I want, to be default? (every time I have to change the margines)

Regarding your questions:
1)How can I put every's page number in the page? can I select the location where the number will be placed?
Yes, first insert a header or footer. Then Insert > Fields > Page numbers. You can format these fields any way you want.
2)How can I put a title (documents title) in every page eg on top?
Just add a header.
3)Is it possible to convert to capitals or small letters a highlighted text? (as I can bold it)
Yes, select the text, go to Format > Case/Characters > Uppercase (or lowercase)
4)How can I set the page format (esp the margins) I want, to be default? (every time I have to change the margines)
Click F11 to show your stylist, change to Page Styles and edit your default page style (right click on it and choose 'modify')
Any more questions?? |

I have found that you can change capitals to lowercase and vice versa in Openoffice by using the above mentioned Format > Character > Efects > Lowercase/ Capitals function. The problem however seems to be this conversion is only valid within OpenOffice. Neither mcedit, xedit or word (3 random texteditors I tried) can actually see the conversion. In my case capitals remained capitals, no matter which format I used.
To any "maintainers" reading this:
I would like to see this changed, but I cannot be bothered to use the "bugzilla". Not everyone will take an hour to fill in a form guys, just give us an email-address so we can nag, complain and complement to our hearts content, and you'll probably get a lot more feedback, some of which might even be sensible.
Excuse me for any misspellings etc., English is not my native language. |

hm, an OpenOffice Forum ID would have been nice
I can't find any logic in it, but the conversion I used Format > character > Effect > lowercase to switch to lowercase from an "all Capitals" document did not work, as I described above. The Format > Case/Character >lowercase did work.
Now I'm wondering, did I cry "wolf" to soon, or is this just weird?
By the way, i'm using OOo 1.01, in case this strange difference is 'build' dependend...
To be clear, the Format > Case/Character >lowercase does work! |
