Based on the request as given, I would have to say "yes". OpenOffice.org, like most office suites these days, offers Object Linking & Embedding (OLE) which means a live spreadsheet can be inserted into a word processor document or a chart can be inserted into a spreadsheet.... or a spreadsheet into a presentation slideshow. You can even do it all from within the slideshow (Insert menu -> Object -> OLE Object -> OpenOffice.org 1.1.1 Spreadsheet) without directly opening the Calc program interface. The spreadsheet so inserted is a live spreadsheet with all of the features of Calc.
Of course, if you want the sldieshow to act upon data within the spreadsheet (like display a certain picture in the slideshow based on a value in the spreadsheet) that may or may not be possible, I don't know. _________________ Don "Freiheit" Eitner |
