Email test fails...

When trying to set up my Email Mail Merge function:

I go to:

Tools > Options > OpenOffice.org Writer > Mail Merge Email
I enter all my email settings correctly and click TEST.

I get the error message that the "Establish Network Connection" Failed....so of course it can't send any of the messages.

I'm on Mac 10.5.6 with the current version of OO and I have full network capability with every other application.

Any ideas?
