|
|
| I'm new to O-O, and have downloaded O-O-2.4 then O-O-3.0, installed under Windows. Cannot find add-in functions in Calc (complex math functions, for example). Are these functions part of the download, or does a .dll file need to be downloaded separately? |

| What complex functions do you need? OOo has an equation editor but I don't think that's what you're talking about. |

| No, the equation editor isn't the problem. Under the Help tab, there is a topic "add-in functions; Analysis Functions, part 1 and part 2". The functions that I want to use in a spreadsheet are listed on these tabs. Functions like BIN2HEX(), IMABS(), COMPLEX(). etc. When I try to use the Insert>>Function>>AddIn pull down to insert the COMPLEX() function for example, the result is an error (ERR:504), I think that means that the function couldn't be found. |

You have to experiment a bit but there are a minimum number of paces needed in the formulas.
For example: =BIN2HEX(A2;6) anything less than 6 places give an error 502. |
